Day 288+, Quick and Important Update! Jews and Ukraine, One person's opinion.

Dear Friends,

Just Tuesday, I wrote about Ukraine's ability to change its voting pattern in the UN. Surprisingly it only took a full day to prove my prediction right.

As usual, the UN, based on its great track record in mainlining peace in the world and limiting Nuclear proliferation (insert a smirk here), has taken another vote to undermine the only functional multiethnic democracy in the Middle East, Israel. Ukraine, with most of the EU countries, indeed abstained, unlike the preceding vote on the subject, where it joined the bandwagon of Israel bashers.

I wonder if Ukraine did it in response to the negative feedback it received after its last vote based on the UN's prevailing winds. However, I trust Ukraine voted this way because of its experience with giving up its nuclear weapons and complying with the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), as cemented in the 1994 Budapest Memorandum.

If you are Ukrainian, please use your influence on your leaders to ensure they represent you, and NOT just take the convenient positions based on the inertia and the prevailing winds.
